Housing allowance must cover 95% of real costs. Up to $500/month extra in high-cost areas like California and Hawaii. Hold bad landlords accountable.
Support Military Families
Child care costs capped at 5-7% of income. Help military spouses find jobs. Career support when families move. Stronger families mean stronger troops.
Protect Mental Health Care
Seeking help is strength, not weakness. Can't be kicked out just for getting counseling. Security clearance protected. Peer support programs expanded.

Extra money for E-1 through E-4 with dependents โ on top of regular pay
Years 1-2 (FY 2027-2028)
$200 per month extra for junior enlisted with families. That's $2,400 per year on top of regular pay and allowances.
Years 3-5 (FY 2029-2031)
$250 per month as the program grows. That's $3,000 per year extra to help your family.
Years 6-10 (FY 2032-2036)
Full $300 per month โ $3,600 per year. Plus a one-time 2.5% pay raise for E-1 to E-4 on top of regular increases.

Housing Allowance That Works
BAH must cover at least 95% of real housing costs in your area. If it doesn't, the Pentagon reports to Congress and fixes it.
High-Cost Area Supplement
Up to $500/month extra for duty stations where BAH covers less than 90% of costs. Priority for California, Hawaii, and DC area.
Hold Bad Landlords Accountable
Health and safety repairs within 72 hours. Rent reduced when housing is unlivable. Move out without penalty if conditions are bad.
Affordable Child Care
Fees capped at 5% of income for families under $75K. 7% for families $75K-100K. Goal: 90-day max wait for child care.
Spouse Employment Help
Help military spouses keep careers when moving. Remote work connections. Hiring preference for federal jobs at installations.
Portable Licenses
Work with states to let military spouses use their professional licenses in new states. Nurses, teachers, and more.
